Pictures from the train

~A great deal of the time we were very close to the coast--really right next to the beach in a few places. The conductor announced our speed a few times--top speed of 150 mph--I guess because it is the Accela and they want to promote it. I don't know how fast regular trains go. Ive mostly taken the train to Vermont where it has to go much more slowly in many places and stops more often.

The photo of the village is great. It could be a postcard.

It sure is a pretty ride, this train. Folks in the know get a seat on the left side of the train leaving Boston (right side going north).

This is what you miss if you fly (or drive).

We went to visit Julie at GTS and took our GPS on the train from New England to NYC. Regular train reaches 120 to 130 mph. Makes me wonder what is so special about the Acela. ~Donna
