~Last night whenever I woke up I could hear ice pellets hitting the roof and hear the wind, so I wasn't surprised that the Kid had a snow day today. We actually had snow, too, not just ice, but not as much snow as those north and west of us did. It was my day off anyway, so we both got to sleep in. Then I spent the rest of the day catching up with the laundry. That chore always taked longer that it feels like it should, partly becasue the drier never ever gets a load sone in just one cycle. As I folded laungdry, I watched an old movie (All the President's Men) and some TV online. And I made a pot of crockpot vegetarian chili for dinner. I didn't set foot outside all day except to put out some bird seed. So it was a very quiet and domestic day.
~I still could've used a few more hours in the day; there were other tasks, some work related and some not, that I would've liked to have gotten to, Never enough time.
~I've been trying to follow the econcomic news lately, but it is depressing. Where are all these billions of dollars coming from? How much worse will things get before they get better? The economic news is so overwhelming that it just about drowned out Obama's announcement that he will be withdrawing the troops from Iraq. A year ago that would've been all anyone would be talking about.Funny how things change like that.

You're so right about the troops. He could bring them all home tomorrow and people would say, "Huh. How about my 401K?"
