Day one of NaBloPoMo during which I have pledged to post every day.
I'd like to write a long thoughtful post, but the Kid is working on his biology project--a 3D cell costume that was supposed to be for Hallowe'en but (thankfully) the due date was pushed back to tomorrow, and I know that at any moment I'll be callled to help cut or glue something. So instead I'll just mention all the things I'd like to blog about--and who knows maybe over the next month I'll actually blog about some of them.
I'd like to blog about the NPR series running this week which takes a close look at some of the terms used in the news these days, like Islamic fundamentalism and jihad and today's word: war.
I'd like to blog about my conflicted feelings about confidence and competence-and the imposter syndrome--this post has been sitting in my draft folder for a a rewrite.
I'd like to blog about what it was like to be a single mother. But it is a hard subject
I'd like to blog about something witty and clever--but I'm not that witty and clever.
I'd like to blog about the debate on the nature of marriage that is on-going in the Episcopal Church and in my diocese. I wrote a paper in seminary on this but I think I would take a different angle now.
And as I expected, I'm being paged......
