~Grackles are not among my favorite birds; they hog the feeder and don't play well with others. But look at the iridescent colors!~I have more redwings around than I every have before. In Vermont they were the surest sign of spring.
~The goldfinches have turned gold again...they turn a muddy brown for winter.

Terrific bird photos! I love redwings - their call is so distinctive and it immediately calls to mind memories of specific places where I've heard them.
