~Within the next month or so, many of us will receive our so-called "economic stimulus" checks--which for most of us amounts to "found money." Now, I've already spent this money 100 times over in my head, but I'm not sure I want to buy into Bush's recovery plan so completely (no pun intended). I'm not sure that encouraging MORE spending is really good for what ails us.
~So I've decided to donate part of my check to the Give It 4 Good campaign. Click on the button in the sidebar to learn more about it. The idea is to give some or all of this "found money" to an organization of your choice that is working on the Millennium Development Goals. The project is sponsored by Episcopalians for Global Reconciliation-- but you don't need to be an Episcopalian or even a Christian to participate--many of us share the desire to end extreme poverty and illness in the world regardless of our faith (or the lack thereof). Think about it.

Good for you! My church is one of the pilot churches in our state doing MDG fundraising as a congregation. I'm so proud to be a part of it.
