My first name, at least as I spell it, was not at all common when I was a kid, but I know that it has increased in popularity. But what really surprised me is that my last name is tied for the 23rd most popular last name. Wow. I am surprised because I NEVER run into anyone else with that last name.
I checked my mother's name: there are 559 people with her name. I am gobsmacked about that because her first name is not one you hear very often and it certainly doesn't make any top baby name lists. Very interesting....

Fun! There are 23 people with my name, and 0 people with my kids names. I was aiming for original when I named them, I always felt bad for Jennifer A and Jennifer B and the worst was Jennifer M1 and Jennifer M2...

More important than how many others have my name is whether they know how to spell it! I am going to have on my gravestone: 'Lee Alison, ONE L, etc.' Everyone spells my middle name wrong.
