~That's the only word I can use to describe my first photography class. Given that we only have two hours a week for six weeks, and that the class was described as being for those who already have a DSLR, basic camera skills and basic familiarity with Photoshop/Photoshop Elements, I was hoping we'd dive right in. But the instructor spent the whole time talking about really basic stuff--like the fact that there are different kinds of lenses (no detail other than "normal", "wide angle" and "telephoto") and different kinds of memory cards and batteries, and different kinds of camera bags. D'oh. For this I do not need a class.
~I know that as a student in any kind of class I'm demanding. So maybe I expected too much?
~The instructor taught photography at a major university for 30 years and claims to be one of the first to embrace digital cameras in such a setting. So he SHOULD be able to teach us a great deal. I hope next week is better.

maybe the instructor does this introduction to make sure everyone is on the same page? it sounds like anyone with access to a camera and photoshop could sign up. it can be very distracting when people in a class are missing basic information.
I hope it gets better too! Fingers crossed for you...
