...not to Grandmother's house, but to NSLS's in-laws who live a couple of hours north of here. We'll have a sumptuous dinner and come back tomorrow.
And since food is one of the main features of the day, what is the food that it wouldn't be Thanksgiving without for you?
Mine are homemade cranberry sauce and cornbread dressing....I love all the rest, but those two are must haves, so whenever I go away for Thanksgiving, if I don't have those, I come home and make them the next day.

It's not Thanksgiving without mashed potatoes for me. I think of mashed potatoes as a staple, but the friends I ate with this year did not make them. Might have to make them myself today or tomorrow.
