I've always been curious about those feeders. Do the birds startle to see people inside? Or is it one way glass of some kind? I would love to get one for the kids, but am afraid that it will never get used because little noses will be constantly scaring the birds away...
My sister has a bird feeder outside her window, and her dumb birds do scare when adults (or my sister's kids, or the cats) get too close. Very disappointing since I always want to take pictures of them.

Great pictures!
My friends have one in Maine--and they have two dogs and four cats on the other side of the window and that doesn't keep the birds away!
I just got mine, and it's right by where I sit in the kitchen, and the birds come while I'm sitting at the table. So you might be alright.
Hurray for the tufted titmouse! A chickadee with aspirations to be a blue jay, I can tell.
More birdies, please!!

How charming!
