Make

I haven't really made anything in a long while. I've never been super crafty, but I used to love counted cross stitch and for a while when the girls were little, I smocked things for them. The piece I am most proud of is a romper I made for my nephew with teddy bears smocked on the front. I made piping for the collar and used French seams, and even go the sleeves in pretty well. I'm not sure my nephew ever wore it, but when the Kid was born, my sister sent it back to me and the Kid wore it once. 

I'd love to take up smocking and cross stitch again but I need two things:  more time and a good needlework shop with cross stitch supplies and the ability to pleat fabric for smocking  I've thought about taking up knitting as well, but I'm not sure I'm patient enough to get good at it.
